Over the past few months the members Committee have been
reviewing how it operates and have been looking at ways in which it can be more
effective to represent the needs of the members.
As a result of this the Committee has decided to promote 3
principle sections as sub committees concentrating on specific elements for the
members and each of these sub committees will report into the main committee on
a monthly basis
The sub committees are : Handicaps and
Competitions
– Chaired by Jim Nisbet
: Teams and Sections
- Chaired by Darren Green
: Events, Social and
Communications - Chaired by Mick Spink
Handicaps and competitions will continue to operate as it
does at present.
Teams and sections will have representation across the club
and will co-ordinate news, events and results to the members and into the
committee, This sub committee will represent the Tigers, Rabbits, the Ladies,
the Juniors, the Seniors and Ferrybridge and will also cover the various teams
who represent the Golf Club in leagues and knockout events
Events, Social and communications will arrange and inform
the members on all social events both on and off the course as well as
being the focal point for all communication both to the members and back into
the committee. Work is currently ongoing to refine this but in the interim any
comments should be addressed to Pete Marchant .
