Testimonial

The Charity Golf Day Organisation’s Testimonial
Ladies and gentlemen, Rookeries School for Deaf Children at The Rookeries Carleton Junior & Infant School would like to thank you all at Mid Yorkshire Golf Club, Darrington, Pontefract.  This Golf Course is really wonderful and is in very good condition, it is a credit to the grounds staff and all at the club as we played at the end of October and the course was excellent.  Some of the players who attended the day are experienced golfers and could not believe how fast the greens were. Everyone spoke about how they found the course challenging because of the many bunkers and fast greens and found it technically challenging.
Here is a quote from on of our participants on the day who is an experienced a four handicapper golfer. “This course was in fantastic condition and greens where some of the best I have putted on in the North England, Mid Yorkshire Golf Club have the ability to hold a big event and the scenery were also sensational.”
One of the people involved in organising the day also stated. “Mid Yorkshire Golf Club could not do enough for us, there service and help in organising our day was fantastic, they could not do enough for us.” The charity golf day helped us raise funds for our Deaf children in our mainstream school. Everyone involved commented that, the day could not of been any better, everything which the golf club provided was first class, from the bacon sandwich with tea & coffee, the round of golf, right through to the evening with the three course meal.  The evening auction was excellent along with the golf and non golf items.
Finally the money we raised was £2, 500 from the golf and non-golfer package day and other things which were kindly donated, this was a great achievement.  Our big thanks go out to Mid Yorkshire Golf Clubs General Manager Rob Pointon, Manager Michael Allsop and all the other staff involved.
We would recommend your club to anyone from other organisations and clubs who want to organise a classic golf day and let them know that the service you provide is at a very reasonable price a first class service.

The Charity Golf Day was organised by Lynne Lewin, Michael Freeman and Don Conway on behalf of the Deaf Children at the Rookeries Carleton Junior and Infant School
