Manager of the Year Award

It is with great delight that I inform you that Mr R Pointon has got through to the finalists of GCMA Golf Club Manager of the Year award.
This is a fantastic achievement for Rob and a brilliant opportunity to showcase Mid Yorkshire Golf Club to the rest of the Golfing World.
Rob was chosen from over 80 Managers around the country and was shortlisted origionally into the final 22 he has now managed to secure a position in the final 6 and the GCMA representitives will be visiting Mid Yorkshire in the near future.
Rob has managed an awful lot within the last year and the club is starting to become successful and a club we can all be proud of.
Rob would like to thank everyone involved in the club for thier continued support.
Below is the letter recieved by Rob confirming his position in the final 6.

I am delighted to inform you that you have been nominated for the 2012 Manager of the Year Award.

The award is jointly sponsored by Tonic Insurance and Howdidido and both companies will have individuals representing them throughout the judging process.

The winner will be announced at the GCMA AGM on the 27^th of March 2013, at the Walton Heath GC in Surrey, where all six finalists will be invited to attend on the day as guests of GCMA. The winner will receive an expenses paid long weekend in Spain - More details will follow in due course.

Before then, the immediate requirement is for two of the judging panel to visit your Club for a day, and speak further with you, the person(s) that have nominated you and ideally to speak with the Captain, Chairman, President or Owner of the Club also about the nomination and you role, duties and achievements.

To set things in motion therefore, it would be most useful if you could indicate which weekdays are most convenient to you and (some) of the afore mentioned officials during the month of November next,  and let me have a list of those dates so I can advise the allotted judges who will make the visit. I will then get back to you with agreed dates to suit all for the visit.

In the meantime, congratulations on making it this far, as there was indeed a very healthy number of quality nominations received this year.
